Harry, we volunteered together at Action for Refugees in Lewisham in 2018 and I remember all the conversations we had there so distinctly. I don't remember the first time I met most people but I remember the moment you entered the AFRIL office. You struck me as chilled, curious, intriguing. I was impressed that you crossed the whole of London to be there, the most basic office down a side-street in central Lewisham. We mixed work with discussions on migration, the ethics of fundraising, philosophy, poetry, and how we thought about the future. We were both just out of university and unsure what was coming next; it was a strange, uncertain time and I remember bonding over the feelings of insecurity and freedom that came with being a humanities graduate with vague ideas of doing something 'good'. Talking to you was interesting and fun – I could tell you thought about things deeply and differently, and our conversations went in surprising, creative directions which made it exciting to be around you. You listened carefully and reacted honestly. A year later, I saw you play in a band in Hackney. Bringing along some friends, I felt proud to introduce them to you, my cool, long-haired musician friend. More recently, after a long time being out of contact, you started sending a lot of poems and songs. I remember you telling me that you liked to write, back when we volunteered together. I'm sorry we fell out of touch and I wish we'd had more time. With love, and a promise to remember those moments we spent together.

Beautiful Harry- I had the privilege of being your teacher when you started school and what an engaging and charismatic little guy you were.
Later I’d see you occasionally from afar and think wow- what style.
Now I’ve been privileged again to listen to your mesmeric music which has taken it’s place in my mind as good songs do.
I will think about you and your beautiful mum, dad and brother every day.
